The logo of the Brotherly Association of the Friends of Saint Yves

Together with his Son and Saint John the Baptist, she is one of the three biblical characters whose the birthday is honored and not only the day of entering in the eternal glory: John the Baptist’ martyrdom, Christ’s Resurrection, and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The mass liturgy of the day speaks about Mary’s birthday as the « daybreak of salvation for the world », in the prayer after communion, for, « from her arose the sun of justice, Christ our God » as it is explained in the antiphon at the beginning of the mass.

These expressions clearly show that there is not inappropriate and excessive cult inside the Catholic Church towards the Virgin Mary, for any devotion and piety towards His mother always relates to Christ, since he is the Only and Unique Mediator and Savior between God and Humankind.

This is true about the saints also: they are only offered to the faithful as imperfect examples who succeeded in implementing the Gospel in their lives, as far as possible.

It was drawn by General secretary João Lucas Heckert, a student of law and secretary general of the association, under the chairmanship of Doctor Luciano Peres, lawyer and vice-chairmanship of Doctor Celso Leal da Viega Junior, professor.

Actually, the logo wants to remind us that all Justice comes from God and that Prophet Malachi calls Christ the Sun of Justice (4, 2-3) for, in true justice, He became man for redeeming Humankind. Obviously, sunrise precedes the end of rain and deluge: this is the signal that water begin to subside; this is the end the flood that destroys all manner of life and represents death and evil in the Holy Scriptures. Then, it is only in Christ’s Light that the saints who were famous for their sense of Justice acted, starting with Saint Ives.

Human being needs the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit to have a just and right life. This is especially true about all these who work in the Justice system.
